Clipper
A private, single-user tool that turns long podcast and interview episodes into captioned vertical clips and schedules them on its owner's own YouTube channels.
Uses YouTube API Services. Clipper is a YouTube API client. Read its privacy policy and terms of service.
What it does
- Downloads and transcribes long-form episodes.
- Picks clip-worthy moments and renders them as 9:16 captioned videos.
- Uploads approved clips to the owner's channels as private videos, schedules each one to go public at its slot, and sets the clip's cover as its thumbnail.
- Reads the view, like and comment counts and the channel analytics of the videos it uploaded, to see which clips perform.
- Can edit a clip's title or description after upload, and take a clip down.
- Optionally hands finished clips to Buffer to post on the owner's TikTok, Instagram and Facebook accounts.
Who uses it
Only its owner. Clipper is not offered to the public, has no sign-up, and connects to no account other than the owner's own. Every YouTube channel it posts to is one the owner controls.
Privacy
Clipper uses YouTube API Services to access the owner's YouTube account, solely to upload, schedule, thumbnail, edit and remove its own videos and to read their statistics and analytics. See the privacy policy, the terms of service, the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
